BD Octreotide 30 mg (often Octride Depot) is a long-acting synthetic hormone (somatostatin analog) injection used for conditions like acromegaly (excess growth hormone) and controlling diarrhea/flushing from hormone-producing tumors (carcinoid, VIPomas) by reducing hormone release, working over a longer period (often monthly injections) to manage symptoms and improve quality of life, though it doesn't cure the underlying tumor. 
BD Octreotide is used to manage conditions involving hormonal overproduction or specific gastrointestinal issues:

It is an anti cancer medicine used with steroid medicine prednisone or prednisolone to treat people with hormone refractory metastatic prostate cancer that has progress after treatment with other and tea cancer medication, including docetaxel.
